Crane Data Centers Inc. is on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Program Manager to oversee our data center construction and delivery projects throughout the entire lifecycle. This key role involves collaboration with C-level executives, technical leaders, and trusted partners to effectively implement and manage cross-functional programs and processes that enhance our capacity for quality data center services.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and oversee the successful delivery of projects within our new build data center portfolio, ensuring all aspects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Your contributions will be measured against cost, schedule, quality, and sustainability targets aligned with Crane's corporate objectives.
  • Create, implement, and manage a robust portfolio of data center processes that enhance our ability to provide capacity to clients.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and efficient program teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Establish and utilize key performance indicators and business goals to drive results for the corporation and team.
  • Manage shared resources effectively and balance competing priorities to support top-line business objectives.
  • Communicate risk, delays, and obstacles to leadership and stakeholder groups, presenting actionable solutions to overcome these challenges.
  • Utilize your industry experience in evaluating and selecting key partners, including architecture and engineering consultants, general contractor partners, and other vital third parties critical to data center development.
  • Leverage experience to recommend and implement tools for efficient reporting and tracking of KPIs, goals, and project statuses.

Executive Management :

  • Collaborate with Crane's leadership team to define top-line company goals and priorities, ensuring alignment with team objectives.
  • Represent Crane’s development activities to the C-suite and cross-functional development teams.
  • Exemplify high professionalism and integrity in decision-making while embodying Crane’s company values.
  • Position Crane as a thought leader in design, safety, sustainability, and best practices within construction and operations.
  • Qualifications :

  • 5 years of program or project management experience specifically in data center construction.
  • Proven ability to manage hybrid teams of consulting, contract, and partner resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in delivering complex and time-sensitive projects, particularly in situations with ambiguous requirements.
  • Strong leadership capabilities in managing large-scale programs.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in creating trusted relationships and leading projects across multiple time zones and geographic areas.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Technical program management experience centered on data centers.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in hyperscale data centers, large colocation providers, or engineering / architecture firms focused on data centers.
  • Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Thorough understanding of the data center development process, from site selection through to operations.
  • Established relationships with leading design consultants, general contractors, vendors, and equipment providers.
  • Proven track record of scaling teams focused on data center development in relevant organizations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Primavera P6, Procore, BIM / Revit, Bluebeam, and expertise in data analysis tools like Tableau, SQL, or PowerBI.
  • Travel Requirements :

    Willingness to travel up to 25-50% with the flexibility for short-notice trips.
