Regional Procurement Director

Essential Job Functions

• Liaise with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
• Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
• Researching and identifying prospective suppliers
• Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and
  conditions
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
• Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function
• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization
• Monitors supplier Key Performance Indicators including on Safety, Quality, Cost - Drive spend compliance into established supply chain strategies
• Develop relationships with key internal Crane business decision makers to support the creation of a world class procurement experience
• Data gathering, analysis and report preparation as required
• Provides specialized purchasing expertise to support functions
• Support the supplier development activities as required
• Daily purchasing and material expediting, as required
• Compliance with the company's business conduct guidelines
  

Other Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, VLookup, macros, charting/graphing)
• Demonstrated understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, practices, and the value and use of procure-to-pay (P2P) digital platforms
• Skilled at change management
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact with suppliers, business leaders and all other internal stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
• Demonstrated negotiation skills including an understanding supplier contract management
• Excellent managerial and organizational skills High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to deliver
  
  

Certificates & Licenses

• Institute for Supply Management (ISM) CPSM, CIPS or Six Sigma Black Belt, preferred
  

Physical Requirements

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computers
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
•  Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment
• Travel 10-20%
   

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Procurement/Purchasing
• Minimum 5 years of sourcing and supplier relations experience
• Logistics, transportation or supply chain management industry experience is preferred
• Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role
