Position Title: Associate Computer Repair Technician
Department: Technology
Reports To: Technology Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Computer Repair Technician is a part of the Cranston Public Schools Technology Department. The Technology Department is responsible for maintenance of technology at the classroom and lab level as well as areas of administration. The Computer Repair Technician needs to be able to work successfully both independently and as a part of the technology team effort.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an approved college with an associate’s degree in Computer Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with the following operating systems: Windows-Server, Windows-latest version, MAC OS.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and repairs on desktop computers and peripherals.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, wireless networking, wiring, protocols.
- Proven ability to work independently to assure proper and timely repair of existing computers, installation of new computers and maintenance of existing network infrastructure.
