Crary Industries is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team to provide support to the Human Resources Manager. As an HR Generalist, you’ll be an integral part of our Human Resources team, handling various HR tasks and ensuring our employees have a seamless and positive experience throughout their journey with us. Your role will cover everything from recruitment, onboarding and orientation, to employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, compliance with HR policies, and safety program management.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:
- Supports and responds to employees' inquiries regarding various HR-related topics, such as benefits, leaves of absence, workers comp, policies and procedures, benefit time accruals, etc.
- Administers and promotes the employee benefit plans, enrolls employees into benefit plans, performs onboarding and orientation activities, act as employee point of contact for benefit questions.
- Processes internal transfers, status changes, and promotions. Ensures that the appropriate documentation is completed and all state-specific and/or job-specific requirements are met.
- Organizes and implements the onboarding process for new hires, conducts orientation, presents, and explains benefit offerings, and provides employees with a welcoming and inclusive experience.
- Facilitates monthly safety meetings.
- Processing and data entry of personnel changes.
- Assists with Human Resources events including Employee Recognition, Job Fairs and company events.
- Provides employee relations support for employees and managers to include resolving issues, disciplinary matters, investigations, and terminations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources talent management and employment law.
- Ability to answer routine benefits questions and assist with benefits enrollment.
- Manages payroll entry and auditing.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
Education:
- An associate’s degree in human resources, business or another related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Job experience:
- Strong preference for individuals who have experience in promoting and facilitating a safety culture
- Experience in manufacturing HR practices preferred.
- A minimum of three years of human resource experience preferred.
- SPHR or PHR certification and/or other progressive continuing education in an HR field is valued.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
This is not a remote position.
