We are seeking a dynamic Records Lifecycle Specialist to lead our comprehensive records information management program. In this role, you will drive development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative records management practices, all while ensuring the integrity and accessibility of our valuable records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovate and Manage : Spearheads the development and execution of our active and inactive records management program.
- Vendor Relations : Oversees and optimizes contracts with external vendors for storage and shredding services, ensuring cost-effective and compliant solutions.
- Strategic Planning : Contributes to the creation of robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans to safeguard our records against unforeseen events.
- Insightful Reporting : Generates statistical, statuses, and analytical reports to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Records Lifecycle : Coordinates the annual destruction of records.
- Matter Close Collaboration : Takes ownership of the Matter Close Checklist, working closely with attorneys to accurately identify records as matters conclude.
- Effective Training : Provides training to incoming legal and administrative staff on their records management responsibilities.
- Audit and Compliance : Partners with the Information Governance Data Specialist to audit and validate data, ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping.
- Litigation Holds Management : Administers and oversees litigation holds on official records, managing the post-litigation holds processes to maintain integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
