Position Summary
The role of Pricing Assistant I – Automated Claims is to review auto evaluated items to ensure like kind and quality; focusing on accurate and timely processing of content claims via the use of edjuster’s claims handling professional-service methodology and its web-based content claims processing and pricing platform/system – exclaim.
Responsibilities
- Review auto priced items for correct class/type and suggested replacement
- Price common household items using edjuster’s database and/or generic price list
- Research pricing on the internet when necessary
- Apply limit/special limit or any other instruction as provided by insurance adjuster
- Submit completed claim reports to insurance adjuster
- Communicate with team lead and/or supervisor as necessary
- Ensure consistent and quality turnaround of all claims in accordance with the Company’s productivity and performance standards
- Operate from appropriately set up and equipped home-based office
- Adhere to 40 hours per week and typical business hours in hired time zone
- Perform other duties as assigned including assisting other departments as necessary
Requirements
- Secondary/High School diploma
- 1-2 years of computer-based clerical or customer service experience
- Ability to communicate in Spanish, both written and verbally, is strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills (Typing and Microsoft Office/Outlook and Google Workspace)
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Self-starter, able to work independently and unsupervised
- Ability to adapt to change and new technology and processes
- Willing to learn and continuously improve
