Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic professional with a passion for design to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the Regional Territory Manager, the A&D Specification Representative will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the design and construction industry. The ideal candidate will be driven, customer-focused, and committed to achieving results, demonstrating leadership, initiative, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Possessing creativity, self-motivation, and strong multitasking abilities, they will also exhibit a vibrant and personable demeanor, characterized by outgoing, friendly, and approachable qualities. Effective interpersonal skills are essential for fostering strong professional relationships and success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with Fabricators, Architects, Designers, Kitchen & Bath Retailers, Builder Décor Centers, Millwork, and Case Goods providers. Collaborate with peers and management to devise and execute strategies for market expansion and increased market share. Conduct regular customer visits and product knowledge sessions to grow market share. Provide marketing support by distributing samples, literature, and other promotional materials. Proactively address customer issues and escalate as necessary. Maintain regular communication with the Territory Manager, providing updates on account activity. Coordinate with the Technical Service Team to ensure installers have necessary product knowledge. Utilize corporate sales database for tracking and managing customer requirements. Monitor and manage merchandising materials and samples in the region. Support regional and national organizational initiatives. Collaborate internally to maximize opportunities with customers. Assist in national trade marketing and marketing initiatives. Present product offerings to companies during client visits.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in architecture, design or related field. Prior sales experience within the building materials industry. Strong client relationship skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Strong conflict resolution, and people management skills. Proficiency with IT systems. Willingness to travel approximately 10 weeks per year to ID, OR, WA. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred: Proven track record of achieving sales targets. Experience building brand equity. Negotiation experience.
