Associate Attorney - Tampa, FL (Personal Injury)
Salary: $90- $100k Base plus Bonus
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday-Friday
Our client is hiring a Junior Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. Our client is a small, boutique, law firm representing clients on insurance claim disputes on coverage, property, premises, automobile, professional, bad faith, and construction liability matters all over the state of Florida.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in personal injury & insurance defense matters with a focus on providing high-quality legal services Manage a caseload from inception to resolution Handle cases of various litigation matters from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and arguments Prepare for and conduct depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery proceedings Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support during trials and hearings Negotiate settlements on behalf of the insurance company in an effort to avoid unnecessary litigation Assist with the preparation of trial exhibits, witness interviews, and trial briefs Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including organizing and managing documents and evidence Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents that may impact ongoing cases Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process
Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the State Bar and in good standing 0-1 year of experience in PI or Insurance Defense Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and writing Proven experience conducting depositions and handling discovery processes Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
