Corporate Paralegal - Deerfield, IL
Salary: $20 - $30/hr Contract (6 months) to Perm.
Schedule: On Site, Monday-Thursday (WFH Friday)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team at and lead its Legal Operations function. The role provides broad exposure to the company’s activities in a fast-paced, dynamic group and offers the opportunity to work in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging environment. This role is designed for someone who wants to be continuously learning and growing their skill set while contributing their own expertise.
Job Responsibilities: Support all merger and acquisition work; Prepare and manage annual report filings for legal entities; Support corporate governance work; Create and manage filing systems; Manage relationships with legal service providers; Supervise legal invoice processing; Review contracts (non-disclosure, non-complete, vendor agreements); Manage contract assignments; Liaise with different department heads; Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications: At least 5 years of legal, paralegal, or similar experience; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience; Significant experience in supporting merger and acquisition work; Must be able to work in the office in Deerfield, IL; Must be service-oriented, a multi-tasker, and a problem-solver; An advanced level of confidentiality and accountability will be required; Ability to utilize technologies such as MS Office; Must have excellent time management and organizational skills; Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Compliance and policy management support.
