Director of Process Improvement - Manufacturing Industry
Salary: $100k - $120k Base Bonus & Full Benefits/401k
Schedule: On-Site, Monday through Friday
Job Summary: Collaborate with plant teams to enhance equipment design for production improvements, including cost justification and capital requests. Manage projects for new equipment procurement, evaluate innovative technologies, and improve operations. Lead routines to measure downtime and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE). Responsibilities: Train and mentor team members on new processes. Set and monitor Process Improvement & Operational Excellence goals. Structure and manage projects using Six Sigma, SOPs, 5S, Kaizen, etc. Develop daily practices to improve production standards and reduce manufacturing costs. Guide leaders in time studies, process layouts, and material flow optimization. Establish training plans for plant teams on CI projects. Drive improvements using data-based loss elimination and daily rigor. Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and address process inefficiencies. Use CI tools (Kaizens, Gemba Walks, Root Cause Analysis) for improvement. Lead efficiency reviews and celebrate CI successes. Champion change management and relationship-building. CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions): Analyze and address product/quality issues. Validate CAPA processes and communicate to management. Ensure compliance and maintain a system for quality data input. Audit Preparation: Prepare for NSF audits, maintain SOPs, and manage CI for High-Speed Lines. Conduct vendor assessments and establish stability programs. Qualifications: Experience: 5 years in a related field or equivalent education. Manufacturing and project management experience preferred. Skills: Strong verbal, written, multitasking, and presentation abilities. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and apply continuous improvement principles. Data-Driven: Strong ability to analyze and use business data to drive improvements. Continuous Improvement: Experience with problem-solving, Kaizens, and process improvement initiatives. Approach: Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of inspiring teams. Education: Bachelor's in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. About the Company:
