Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and drive the people strategy of our client’s organization. This individual will play a key role in fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and implementing best-in-class HR strategies for talent planning, acquisition, retention, and development. This is a high-impact role that will involve close collaboration with executives, department leaders, and employees across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a key advocate for employee engagement and well-being, fostering a positive work environment. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with company goals. Drive recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer letter creation. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure seamless integration of new employees, including IT setup and orientation scheduling. Manage employee relations, conducting thorough and objective investigations, resolving workplace conflicts, and supporting performance management initiatives. Collaborate with department leaders and executives to develop strategic HR plans that support business objectives. Administer compensation and benefits programs, including negotiating company benefits, managing open enrollment, and addressing employee inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain related documentation. Oversee payroll processes, audits, and HRIS data management to maintain accuracy and compliance. Lead training and development programs for employees and supervisors to enhance skills and performance. Monitor and manage the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization. Provide HR support and guidance to management regarding employee relations, organizational structure, and workforce planning.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 7-10 years of human resource management experience. Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance requirements. Previous experience with payroll processing. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work across a diverse hourly and salaried workforce. Preferred: Experience in the manufacturing industry (chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, or related industries). SHRM certification. Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations. Knowledge of HRIS systems (such as Sage ERP or Rippling). Strong analytical and technical skills.
