PET Scan Technologist - Alabama/Mississippi Territory
Salary: $45- $60/hr plus Full Benefits, Per Diem and Travel Expenses
Job Responsibilities: Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously under physician direction to diagnose or treat diseases. Use camera equipment to detect and map radiopharmaceuticals, producing computer-generated images for physician interpretation. Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage, ensuring quality control and compliance with safety procedures. Perform quality checks and maintenance on laboratory and radioisotope equipment. Prepare and store radiopharmaceuticals safely, minimizing radiation exposure. Communicate with the supervising technologist, provider, and corporate office on any issues. Train new Nuclear Medicine Technologists as needed. Maintain cleanliness and order of the mobile unit, including ensuring proper attire and equipment availability. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine from an approved program. Certification: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and applicable state certification. Experience: 3 years in a related role, RSO experience preferred. Other Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and travel within AL, MS, and FL. About the Company:
