Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator. This role is integral to ensuring seamless communication and coordination between the estimating, field, and project management teams. The ideal candidate will excel in gathering and organizing bid information, coordinating subcontractor proposals, minimal estimating and sourcing critical materials, all while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
Estimating Support: Assist the estimator by organizing and compiling subcontractor proposals and bids for review. Proactively reach out to subcontractors to solicit proposals and ensure timely responses. Gather and organize bidding information to ensure the estimator has all necessary details to prepare accurate estimates. Perform minimal and basic takeoffs to assist the estimator in the preparation of estimates. Material Sourcing: Identify and contact suppliers for equipment and material during the estimating phase. Serve as a point of contact for urgent material needs during active projects, supporting the general superintendent and project superintendents in time-critical situations. Proposal and Bid Documentation: Ensure that all final bid and proposal documentation is compiled in an organized and professional format for handoff to the project management team. Verify that all relevant project details, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor commitments are accurately documented. Project Coordination: Facilitate the smooth transfer of information from the estimating phase to project management, ensuring no critical details are overlooked. Qualifications : Experience in performing coordination and administrative duties Familiarity with construction materials, subcontractor coordination, and estimating processes is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with construction project management software is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
