The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with proven leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for driving growth and expanding our client base.
Responsibilities
Identify and research new business opportunities, including emerging trends, potential clients, and strategic partnerships. Develop and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with the company's growth objectives and marketing strategies. Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, delivering tailored solutions that add value. Maintain accurate customer profiles and sales activity records in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to enhance targeted communication and sales efforts. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions that align with the strategic growth plan. Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, and other materials that effectively communicate the firm's capabilities and value proposition. Work closely with the executive team to ensure business development efforts and revenue targets align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Lead internal teams, including technical and project management, ensuring that communication and project delivery are consistent with business development efforts. Oversee team assignments and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery and high levels of client satisfaction. Mentor and develop staff members, promoting professional growth and advancement within the team. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Serve as a technical resource, providing guidance on complex engineering issues and challenges. Manage branch financial performance, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and cost control measures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth within the engineering industry. Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring a team of engineering professionals. Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting technical information and negotiating with clients and stakeholders. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
