Position Overview
The Tax Preparer will be responsible for managing accounting operations, including corporate, individual, partnership, and estate tax returns. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of preparers, ensuring the accuracy of all returns and taking responsibility for reviewing and signing them. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proactive, positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation services. Prepare corporate, individual, partnership, and estate tax returns. Review tax returns prepared by other staff members and ensure accuracy. Sign off on returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. Mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals. Provide clear, positive communication with clients and team members, both in writing and verbally. Stay updated on tax regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of accounting and tax preparation experience. Enrolled Agent or CPA required Experience preparing corporate, individual, partnership, and estate tax returns. Ability to manage and mentor a team of preparers. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to review and sign tax returns. Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting software.
