Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for students. This role is essential in fostering academic growth and social development, particularly for children with diverse learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum. The Teacher's Aide will work closely with both students and educators to enhance the educational experience.
Duties
- Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Assist with literacy education, helping students develop reading and writing skills.
- Facilitate math instruction by providing additional support to students as needed.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive classroom behavior.
- Work with children with autism, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Supervise students during playtime and transitions between activities.
- Assist in maintaining records of student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports childhood development.
Skills
- Experience in a private school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of literacy education principles and practices.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies tailored for children with autism.
- Background in daycare or preschool settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones and educational practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating patience and empathy towards students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
