Job Summary:
This Commercial Lines Underwriter position involves underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, maintaining workload, and controlling written business. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality professional service to Agents and Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new and renewal commercial lines business
- Meet or exceed production goals
- Make approvals and disapprovals of endorsement quote requests
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients
- Market CRC Group products and services to clients
- Review inspection reports and take appropriate actions
- Maintain necessary licenses
Requirements:
- Licensed in corresponding areas of insurance or willing to obtain licensures upon hire
- Ability to understand and analyze insurance policies
- Ability to understand client needs and risk profiles
- Ability to recognize trends in the insurance industry
- Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
- Ability to use automation systems
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships
- Ability to exercise discretion in decision-making
- Leadership and team playing skills
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
