Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable forklift operator/warehouse worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of forklifts and will play a crucial role in our metal recycling facility. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Duties
- Operate a forklift in a safe but efficient manner.
- Must be able to perform good customer service with a positive attitude
- Will be responsible for some record keeping via computer software
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to execute daily plans effectively and efficiently.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds periodically
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while operating and performing duties on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any issues or malfunctions promptly to management.
Experience
- Proven experience in forklift operation. ** Applicant will be asked to perform basic maneuvers on a forklift during the interview process**
- Basic computer skills
- Skid steer experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of metals is a plus
- Customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
