Created by Humans is an innovative AI Rights licensing platform that bridges the gap between creators and AI developers. Our mission is to enable the licensing of copyrighted works for AI training while safeguarding the rights of copyright owners, all while promoting technological advancement in AI.
Our team is comprised of experts with a wealth of experience in digital publishing, technology, and data infrastructure. Our CEO, Trip Adler, previously founded Scribd, a pioneer in the subscription model for books. We proudly partner with the Authors Guild, representing over 14,000 writers. With $10 million in seed funding from esteemed investors including David Sacks, Mike Maples Jr., and Garry Tan, we are expanding our engineering team which already includes senior engineers from leading tech firms. Over 50 authors, including prominent figures such as Douglas Preston and Susan Orlean, have participated in beta testing our product.
Technical Challenge
We are constructing a large-scale system to curate, store, and deliver a diverse range of content to AI companies. One of our key challenges is harmonizing the interests of various stakeholders within the content ecosystem while developing a sophisticated payout system to ensure that value flows back to all content creators.
Team and Technologies
Our engineering team values technical excellence and ownership, maintaining a lean structure. We primarily use Python for our backend and deploy our services on AWS. Our web application stack comprises TypeScript, React, Tailwind, NextJS, and Radix UI. We have future plans to explore AI model training and consumer application development.

We offer a compelling package that includes generous equity, competitive salaries, health insurance, a 401k plan, and in-office lunches.
For California applicants, the base salary for this position is $140,000-$260,000.
