Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.
- This is a PART-TIME position around 25 hours a week (5 hours a day) of which 2-3 days will be onsite in Philadelphia or Somerville, NJ
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and manage payment schedules.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing processes and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice-related issues.
- Support the implementation of improved accounts payable processes and systems.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Workamajig is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
