What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at Creative Community Living Services Inc.?
The program director is responsible for the overall management of assigned programs in his/her region. Ensures that the health, well being and safety of each client are held to the highest standards.
FUNCTIONS – CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Notifies area director of significant changes as outlined in Reporting of
Incidents or Changes in Physical and Mental Condition policy
B. Acts as liaison with all ancillary agencies regarding supports undertaken
by CCLS.
C. Writes and/or approves individualized service plans.
D. Evaluates referrals for placement, and provides input regarding
appropriate placement, as assigned.
E. Supervises the implementation of behavior support plans in compliance
with Behavior Support Plan policy.
F. Maintains parent/guardian contact as necessary.
FUNCTIONS – STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Assumes responsibilities when there is no direct line supervisor.
B. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates all direct line supervisors.
C. Reviews and authorizes all schedules, timesheets, and overtime.
D. Plans and conducts individual and group supervisory meetings on a
regular basis.
FUNCTIONS – PROGRAM SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Participates in the region’s emergency on-call system.
B. Attends program staff meetings and observes staff and client interaction
at least quarterly.
C. Performs monthly program observations to include the addendum to this
job description.
D. Screens and submits requests for major expenses to area director.
E. Assists area director in preparation of yearly budgets, and operates within
the approved budget.
F. Serves as designee of CCLS in securing licenses, requesting variances, and
starting plans of correction for licensing purposes, as assigned.
G. Provides direct input into the writing and revision of proposals for new
programs, as assigned.
H. Adheres to the petty cash fund custodian agreement, if applicable.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bachelor’s degree plus one year of supervisory experience in the field of
developmental disabilities or a related field as deemed appropriate.

Four years supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities
or related field as deemed appropriate.
B. Demonstrates sound communication, leadership/coaching, and
organizational skills.
C. Has an acceptable criminal record and background information disclosure.
D. Has acceptable pre-placement drug screening results.
E. Holds a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s record, access to
a vehicle during work hours, and proof of insurance.
F. Is not listed with the Department of Health and Family Services or
Regulation and Licensing or any other applicable state department or
agencies with a finding of abuse/neglect/misappropriation of
funds/property, if applicable.
G. Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
