What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - part time Davenport University Dining position at Creative Dining Services?
Creative Dining Services is looking for a Cook at Davenport University. As the cook, this role works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a fiscally responsible and safe manner, and works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary.
Part-time schedule: 20 hours/week, Monday - Thursday 10am-3pm
Core Responsibilities:
- Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
- Utilize safe food handling, storage and service techniques at all times
- Maintain production records and logs (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, temperatures, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Removal of refuse as needed
- Putting away/Pulling stock as needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
