Accountant – Hybrid Opportunity

Pay Rate: $30-37/hour

Schedule: Full-time | Hybrid (Onsite training, then 2 days remote)

The Role

We are looking for an adaptable Accountant to join our client for a temporary project while a key team member is out on maternity leave. This position offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to critical accounting functions in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities Of The Accountant

• Perform bank reconciliations and post journal entries
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding and maintain reconciliations
• Manage customer invoicing for project-based work
• Process incoming payments, freight charges, and job costs
• Support with month-end close and other general accounting tasks
• Maintain clean and audit-ready financial records in line with GAAP standards
• Assist with tracking vendor pre-pays and project/job reconciliations
  
  

Your Background

• 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and prior audit exposure
• Self-sufficient with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel (comfortable with VLOOKUPs and basic functions)
• NetSuite experience (a bonus)
• Industry experience in construction, distribution, or manufacturing is helpful but not required
• Thrives in a small, informal team with minimal supervision
