Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for an Accountant to fill a vacant role.

Compensation: $57K-70K
Location: Meriden, CT

Main Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Manage the full accounts payable and receivable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor reconciliation, and collections.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments.
• Assist with financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and key insights to support decision-making.
• The Accountant will review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.

Preferred Experience for the Accountant:

• Accounting, Finance, or Business degree is highly preferred
• Having a manufacturing background would be ideal
• SAP system experience is a bonus!
• The Accountant should have experience creating Pivot Tables in Excel
