Key Responsibilities Of The Accounts Receivable Manager
- Lead and mentor a team of accounts receivable specialists, ensuring effective task delegation, performance monitoring, and professional development.
- Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies.
- Oversee the accurate and timely generation of invoices, including annual mass billing processes.
- Analyze open customer receivables, identify trends, and propose solutions to resolve discrepancies.
- Review past-due accounts, research disputed invoices, and take necessary actions such as invoice resends, PO number updates, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, identifying key trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the annual audit process for accounts receivable, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring timely responses to billing inquiries and dispute resolutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated A/R issues, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with at least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- Proven success in managing A/R operations in a business environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle NetSuite) and data analysis tools.
