Position Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of our organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership, assist in managing financial reporting, and help implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Help manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning financial goals with business objectives.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure internal controls are in place to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support the Controller in cash management and financial planning activities.
- Assist with tax compliance and preparation of related filings.
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide requested documentation.
- Assist in improving financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners.
