Assistant Corporate Controller

Location: Orlando, FL

Compensation: $120 000 - 140 000 plus bonus

About The Company And Assistant Corporate Controller Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to assist the accounting team and the corporate controller in managing all aspects of the accounting process. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside the Corporate Controller in order to ensure that the accounting functions and internal controls perform in accordance with corporate standards.

Responsibilities Of The Assistant Corporate Controller

• Maintains accounting policies and procedures and implements system controls.
• Maintain Job Cost and General Ledger accuracy in order to reflect monthly activities.
• Oversee accounting staff in Billing, Reconciliations, Journal Entries and AP/AR.
• Manage and mentor the accounting staff while providing guidance and training.
• Own all accounting functions including Month End Close and all reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and, where necessary, maintain transactions weekly to shorten month end process.
  
  

Qualifications For The Corporate Assistant Controller

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years of experience in Accounting field.
• CPA is required for this role.
• Experience with multi-site reporting and management
• Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Self-starter mindset with the initiative to promote change when needed.
• Experience with subcontract agreements, lien waivers and job cost analysis
