- Ensure all accounting processes, transactions, and financial reporting comply with GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare and provide financial reports, projections, analysis, and variance reports in a timely manner.
- Oversee the preparation of annual audit schedules, account reconciliations, and tax schedules to ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain financial, administrative, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial statements and reports.
- Train, develop, and evaluate finance and accounting personnel.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax-related schedules, including income, sales, and property tax returns.
- Assist in managing insurance needs, including general liability, property, and workers’ compensation policies.
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including factory cost tracking of materials, labor, and overhead variances, and lead variance review meetings.
- Manage quarterly and year-end inventory procedures and perform inventory analysis for raw materials and finished goods.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate external audits with third-party firms and regulatory agencies.
- Provide leadership in evaluating and implementing strategic financial objectives.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to leading by example and fostering a respectful work environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.).
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or MBA required.
- Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise systems and system implementations is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or retail environment is preferred.
- Proven experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
