Position Overview
- Own the Accounting Function: Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while keeping things lean and efficient.
- Drive Process Automation: Implement modern accounting systems and tech to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
- Be a Strategic Partner: Work directly with leadership to provide real-time financial insights that guide company decisions.
- Lead & Develop a Rockstar Team: Mentor a talented team of accountants, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Keep our financials airtight, audit-ready, and in full compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Optimize Cash Flow & Profitability: Find opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs, and scale smartly.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the company’s general ledger, accounting processes, and month-end/year-end close.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and streamline processes.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
