Salary: $140,000 - $155,000 base salary

About The Company

Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting to oversee its accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic financial leader to drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and support the company’s growth in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing strategic insights to leadership.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements within the accounting function.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
