This role plays a key part in driving business decisions through financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with department heads and senior leadership to provide actionable insights that shape the financial strategy of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of consolidated monthly financial statements and rolling 3-month forecasts.
- Maintain and update key financial reports and data sets used in forecasting.
- Prepare, review, and distribute monthly departmental P&Ls, identifying forward-looking plans and addressing reporting needs.
- Create and analyze financial and operational KPI dashboards for executive leadership.
- Participate in the annual budget process, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow projections.
- Develop forecast modeling and KPIs for newly acquired business segments.
- Assist in the execution of incentive compensation plans.
- Build complex financial models integrating multiple data sources for improved forecasting and decision-making.
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting speed and accuracy.
- Assist the accounting team with close activities, including revenue recognition and expense accruals.
Education & Experience:
- 2 years of financial analysis experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, INDEX formulas, etc.)
- Experience working across multiple, complex data sets
- Experience reporting on financial and operational KPIs
- Strong budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ability to create and present financial models
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership and executives
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work extended hours during quarterly close and budget cycles
