About The General Ledger Accountant Role And Our Client

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join a growing organization based in Cuyahoga Falls. This role will focus on the accurate and timely preparation of general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in maintaining accurate financial records while working in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for general ledger accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset records and ensure proper depreciation schedules are followed.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and provide support for budget preparation and forecasting.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure financial accuracy across the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  
  

This role is on site near Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and the salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 based on experience.
