In this role, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with a strong background in firewall migrations, routing & switching, and cloud networking. This role requires hands-on experience working directly with customers, leading network security projects, and implementing best security practices. The ideal candidate has a stable work history, has worked as a consultant, and has served as a lead engineer on complex deployments.

Essential Functions Of The Network Security Engineer

• Migrate from Cisco, Checkpoint, or Fortinet firewalls to Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing and switching environments, with deep expertise in BGP.
• Implement network security best practices, ensuring robust firewall deployments.
• Engage directly with customers, providing technical leadership and hands-on implementation.
• Work independently or as part of a multi-skilled team to deliver security solutions.
• Provide consulting expertise, acting as the lead engineer on security projects.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to support Azure, AWS, or GCP networking environments.
  
  

Preferred Experience of the Network Security Engineer:

• Active or past Cisco (CCNP/CCIE) or Palo Alto (PCNSE) certifications.
• Strong background in firewall migrations (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet → Palo Alto or Cisco).
• Deep understanding of BGP, routing, and switching.
• Some experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work with customers onsite.
  
  

Bonus Experience Of The Network Security Engineer

• Experience with Cisco Nexus 8K, 5K, and 2K configuration, Cisco FirePower Threat Defense Appliances
• Prior experience working as a consultant or have worked as a Lead Engineer on projects
• Strong at understanding Security principles and best practices as it relates to deploying firewalls
• Experience with Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, GCP)
