We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a manufacturing solutions company in the Greater Cincinnati, OH area. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, analyzing manufacturing costs, and supporting month-end closing processes. This position offers exposure to both traditional accounting functions and manufacturing-specific financial operations. This is a full-time on-site role with an annual salary range starting at $80,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining cost accounting systems and analyzing manufacturing variances
• Process and record inventory transactions and assist with physical inventory counts
• Calculate and track work in progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory valuations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules
• Help prepare documentation for external audits
• Analyze bill of materials (BOM) costs and support pricing decisions
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4-6 years of accounting experience
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and cost accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
