Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Fund Accountant

• Oversee daily bookkeeping for the loan servicing entity and in-house business entities.
• Manage the firm’s administrator for monthly financial reporting and NAV calculations.
• Collaborate with investment, servicing, and asset management teams to ensure accurate fund accounting.
• Calculate and review quarterly income distributions, redemptions, and monthly management fees.
• Support annual fund audits and tax preparation, ensuring timely documentation and compliance.
• Prepare deal funding wires and manage cash flow and short-term borrowings.
• Assist with investor onboarding and handle subscription documents.
• Provide back-up support for accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed.
• Adapt to additional responsibilities based on business needs.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications For The Senior Fund Accountant Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus.
• 2-5 years of fund accounting experience within financial services, with exposure to open- and closed-ended fund structures. Exposure to interval funds and/or 1940 Act structures is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Highly detail-oriented with a focus on deliverables and deadlines.
• Self-motivated and independent worker with strong organization and prioritization skills.
