What the Accounting Assistant will do...
Cutting checks : Process and issue checks for timely payments as part of your daily duties as an Accounting Assistant.
Credit card reconciliation : To ensure accuracy, perform detailed reconciliations of company credit card statements.
Entering invoices : Accurately enter invoices into the accounting system to maintain up-to-date records as a part of your role as an Accounting Assistant.
Paying rent and utilities : Responsible for timely payment of rent and additional utilities.
General Ledger (GL) coding : Code transactions to the appropriate GL accounts to maintain accurate financial reporting.
Credit card statement verification : As an Accounting Assistant, you ensure that credit card statements match receipts and the company's records.
Paying credit cards and purchase cards : Oversee the payment process for company credit cards and purchase cards.
Maintaining confidentiality : Safeguard confidential information, especially invoices, in compliance with company policies.
What the company needs in an Accounting Assistant :
0-2 years of accounting experience or degree in a related field
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
Solid Excel experience, including proficiency with macros, creating spreadsheets, and using formulas to analyze and report data
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Timberline experience is a PLUS
Construction experience is a PLUS
