Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning
Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, ensuring long-term financial sustainability with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Partner with their seven Boards of Directors and the Audit & Finance Committee, offering data-driven insights and recommendations to guide impactful decision-making.
Develop a multi-year financial mode and scenario planning strategy to address factors such as enrollment trends, funding fluctuations, and evolving student needs.
Financial Management & Compliance
Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, risk management, and grant management.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, debt obligations, and reporting requirements.
Lead audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion with zero findings.
Collaboration & Resource Allocation
Work with school and network leaders to align financial strategies with organizational goals, ensuring equitable resource distribution.
Provide financial trade-off analysis to help leaders make informed decisions.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that financial strategies reflect and support diverse communities.
Team Leadership & Culture
Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture where all employees feel empowered to contribute.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities to team members.
Promote transparent communication, collaboration, and customer service excellence across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA / CPA preferred).
15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5 years in senior leadership.
Experience in large organizations ($200M ), preferably in education-focused nonprofits or multi-entity / multi-state institutions.
Skills & Expertise :
Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and compliance.
Ability to develop and lead high-performing, diverse teams.
Proven ability to drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
