Job Title : Application Developer

Location : On-site in Plymouth, Indiana

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000 Job Summary : Are you a problem-solver with a passion for software development? Join our dynamic team as a Software Developer, where you'll be at the forefront of creating and improving software solutions that drive the success of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, and design innovative software solutions that seamlessly integrate with our Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization and delivering impactful results. Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and Enhance Software Systems : Improve and debug existing software using Visual Studio, source code management tools, and troubleshoot deployed software in a range of environments.
  • Application Development : Build and enhance applications in both Windows and Linux environments using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and network / serial reader APIs.
  • Collaborative Development : Work alongside other software engineers to drive projects through all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration : Engage with various business units to brainstorm and develop software solutions tailored to their needs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Extract and manage data from Microsoft SQL Server to create reports that support strategic decisions across departments.
  • RFID Labeling Solutions : Design and update product labels with RFID encoding, using tools like ZDesigner and Zebra Programming Language (ZPL).
  • Dynamics 365 Customization : Customize Dynamics 365 Business Central through creating tables, pages, and reports, while resolving issues in existing code units.
  • Systems Maintenance : Provide support for on-site server environments (Windows / Linux), SQL Servers, and maintain the Dynamics 365 infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year in software engineering, systems maintenance, or technical support.

    • Technical Skills :

  • 2 years of experience with C# and application development
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio and .NET Framework for application debugging and development
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for querying and reporting
  • Ability to adhere to coding standards and best practices

    • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documentation standards

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience : 2 years of experience with C# or other object-oriented programming languages in software engineering and debugging.
  • Technical Skills :

    • Familiarity with front-end and back-end application development

  • Exposure to .NET Core for modern application development
  • Experience with SQL Server and basic database management
  • Basic troubleshooting experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems
  • Soft Skills : Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software.

    • Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Hands-on experience in SQL Server management and optimization
  • Expertise in customizing Dynamics 365, including tables, pages, and reports
  • Experience with RFID technology, label printing, and ZPL (Zebra Programming Language)
  • Familiarity with RFID label creation and design using ZDesigner
