As a Direct Support Professional at Creative Living Options, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to lead independent and meaningful lives. This position is based in the United States and is essential for fostering community integration and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
- Assist clients in achieving their personal goals while promoting independence.
- Monitor and document client progress and well-being regularly.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
- Support clients in community engagement activities and social interactions.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to monitor patient health and report changes accurately.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
- A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals with disabilities.
