Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
- Assist clients in developing and achieving personal goals through individualized support plans.
- Administer first aid and medication as required, ensuring the health and safety of clients.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement opportunities for clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to direct support services.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or memory care settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of first aid procedures and patient care practices.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate direct support to individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with group home or home community care settings is beneficial but not required.
- Basic cooking skills are a plus for meal preparation responsibilities.
