Summary
As a Direct Support Professional at Creative Living Options, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves providing personalized assistance and care to help clients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
- Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health.
- Collaborate with team members to create individualized support plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Experience working in group homes or with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills and ability to assess client needs effectively.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
