Job Summary:
The Fabrication Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of raw materials and fabricated parts between the Laser, Form, Turret, and Parts Pull departments. This role ensures timely and accurate material flow to support production schedules and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials and fabricated parts between workstations in the Laser, Form, Turret, and Parts Pull departments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking by scanning or logging material movements in the system.
- Work closely with machine operators and production staff to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Monitor material stock levels and notify the appropriate personnel of shortages or discrepancies.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of materials and report any quality issues or damages.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred or must be willing to obtain).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
