Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. Familiarity with medical collection processes and health information management is a plus.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform medical scheduling using practice management software.
- Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries
- Support office management by organizing files, managing correspondence, and ensuring the office runs smoothly.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate health information management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of medical collection processes and health information management preferred.
- Proficiency in office management tasks and medical scheduling software (experience with Athenahealth is highly desirable).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.57 - $19.77 per hour
