Summary
As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality chemical products. Your keen attention to detail, strong understanding of chemical and manufacturing processes, and commitment to adhering to safety protocols will be essential in this role. By collaborating with team members and following established procedures, you will contribute to maintaining a productive and compliant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate chemical processing equipment according to product recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and control process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
- Record and monitor information such as ingredients, weights, and temperature.
- Observing and reporting on safety and quality regulations and concerns.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area by following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and performing routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Accurately document production activities, process parameters, and any deviations from standard procedures in logbooks or electronic systems.
- Collaborate with other members of the production team, including laboratory personnel and chemists, to optimize process performance and ensure product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including environmental regulations, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working as a chemical operator, batch maker, or in a similar role in a chemical manufacturing environment required.
- Strong understanding of equipment operation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Basic math and reading comprehension for data entry and operating control systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to chemicals and loud noises.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
