Job Summary
Creative Polymers Inc., a coatings manufacturer in north St. Louis, is searching for a lab technician to work in laboratory to perform Quality Control of batches, evaluation of new raw materials, testing and minor research on product modifications. The position will also be assisting in color matching paints and packaging and shipping of small orders that are made in the laboratory.
Duties
- Conduct quality control testing.
- Maintain paint standard files and quality control records
- Maintain physical test files and color formulas
- Test incoming raw materials in formulas
- Produce small batches for customer orders
- Prepare small shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Associates Degree in chemistry or biology
- 2 years of experience in laboratory – paint industry a plus
- Self -starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision
- Possess above average mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- High degree of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Have good organizational skills
- Experience in Excel, Word and general computer skills required
- Has good work ethics
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
