Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in various accounting software. Creative Resources is one the most respected companies in the promotional products industry. We are passionate about helping our clients make powerful impressions using branded merchandise. Creative Resources is searching for a long-term finance team member. Primary focus will be on accounts payable which is very interactive in building relationships with vendors and clients.
A successful candidate will demonstrate accuracy, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, customer-serviced focused organization. Strong computer skills are necessary along with the ability to learn and follow the process with our ERP software systems. Candidate needs to be. comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitude. This is a critical role in our organization ensuring accuracy while brining ideas and solutions to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review and set up new vendors
- Lead vendor relationships with proactive communication
- Match vendor invoices to POs, get approval, and enter invoices into ERP software system
- Reconcile vendor statements regularly
- Enter and track payments to vendors
- Reconcile freight charges to the proper orders
- General expense vouching – e.g., utilities, maintenance bills, etc.
- Reconcile CC statements used for payments
- Issue prepayment requests and issue approved payments
- Validate all job costs prior to billing
- Keep AP aging up to date and accurate to GL
- Support on processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Billing
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Review and set up new Customers after credit approval review.
- Record payment deposits and applications
- Support DSO
- Ad Hoc Reporting and duties as requested
- Support Senior Finance Manager as needed
- Additional office duties as needed include a shared office responsibility of answering phones
- Sales Tax Reporting Support
- Assist as needed with collections and account reconciliations
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance/accounting work experience

- Acumatica ERP system knowledge and experience a plus
- Promotional Product Industry Experience a plus
- E-commerce, Fulfillment and Inventory experience a plus
- Intermediate Microsoft Office 365 and Excel Knowledge
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proactive, high energy, result oriented, and deadline focused
