As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered care to our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating residents' conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve cognition or swallowing.
- Providing education to residents and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
- Conducting skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments.
- Developing and implementing augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
- Training and educating clients, family, caregivers, and other professionals as a subject matter expert.
- Collaborating with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current ASHA Certification.
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
