Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Language Arts elementary Tutor for a 3rd grader. Tutoring to take place in the student's Pleasanton home, early eves. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be able to provide academic support to young students. See all requirements below and apply only if qualified.

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in the Student's home. Weekday/early evening hours required. No Online only tutors needed.
- Skilled tutoring using the student's own curriculum and real time assignments.

- Ability to simplify concepts, and help build better study habits and organizational skills.
- Help to improve students academic performance and achieve their learning goals.
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding course materials.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in multiple core curriculum; Language Arts (writing focus)
- Minimum 2 years experience working with students; teaching, tutoring, mentoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain goals and concepts clearly.
- Simplify concepts and be adaptable for different learning styles.

- Basic technical skills for writing brief reports on student progress/session notes.
