General Function: Responsible for implementing, coordinating, planning, development, implementation, evaluation and supervision of all defined programs and activities. In addition, recruit program participants and assist with program activities and administrative duties include maintaining program forms, and confidential information data etc. In addition, the incumbent provides and maintains programs relevant to the needs of the community and builds a positive force within the community in seeking solutions to its needs. Oversee and works closely with the community partners and provide support and information as well as be responsible for day-to-day implementation of programs and general program operations. Coordinate activities and functions of the program to ensure that goals and objectives specified are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. ns programs relevant to the needs of the community and builds a positive force within the community in seeking solutions to its needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for assisting with recruiting, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and activities. Facilitate, implement, and educate adolescents on abstinence and contraception to prevent pregnancy and STis, including HIV/AIDS. Incorporates adulthood preparation subjects: adolescent development, financial literacy, educational and career success, and healthy life skills. Maintain program forms, and confidential information data etc. Provide support and assistance in the day-to-day implementation of program operations. The Outreach Program Education Assistant/Case Manager(s) assist Coordinator(s) with activities and functions of the program to ensure that goals and objectives specified are accomplished in accordance with established program priorities. Maintain case management, oversee and direct social services needs for participants. Responsible for helping participants learn and obtain community resources available to them. Perform referral duties that include identifying available resources for crisis intervention,. health education, substance abuse and mental health counseling, adolescent health and more. Work with clients to identify, find, and use available resources and services, malce referrals, develop and manage documentation of service and interact with other governmental, faith-based, nonprofit service providers and local businesses for client services. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and skills (specialized, technical, or practical) -Bachelor degree or two (2) years of experience physical education, recreation administration, criminal justice, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology or related experience including 2-year experience working with children, youth, and families. Ability to relate effectively to diverse group of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Communication skills relative to meeting participants and community needs are highly important. Technology skills include basic computer skills and lmowledge of MS office, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe, Internet Microsoft Outlook.
