Description : Job Summary :
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and setting up of CW’s Manufacturing Equipment, which includes Blow Molding, Injection Blow Molding & Un-Winding Machines. Performs mold- corrective and preventive maintenance, focusing on maintaining desirable production and quality levels with maximum safety standards.
Responsibilities of the Position :
Ensure that Blow Molding & Injection Blow Molding machines, molds, fixtures and auxiliary equipment are set-up properly to meet safety, quality and productivity requirements
Recommend changes to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Perform mold setup in correct manner and following all proper procedures
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
Troubleshoot issues, perform immediate repairs, execute preventive maintenance on equipment
Troubleshooting processes by adjusting set points and recipes
Maintain & Organize Maintenance Shop area
Suggest / Request Parts / Inventory Parts
Resolve Work Requests – M or Radio Calls
Perform accurate & successful PM’s
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements :
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Must be self-motivated, with the ability to complete assigned tasks with the minimal amount of supervision
Valid driver’s license and insurability under the company’s insurance policy
Capable of reading, writing and fluently speaking in English is Mandatory
Must have a valid state driver’s license & reliable transportation
Strong Mechanical & Technical aptitude
Ability to follow specifications and read electrical schematics
Electrical trouble shooting experience
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge preferred
Required to supply own tools
Average math skills
Ability to use a computer tablet and company supplied email
Ability to learn & properly utilize the Maintenance Management Program used at CW (M )
Effectively communicate with co-workers and management on issues concerning quality, safety and productivity standards
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of (3) years of experience in extrusion blow molding in the plastics industry
Experienced with Hayssen Econoblow, Milacron / Uniloy, Aoki Equipment is preferred, but not required
Working Conditions :
Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
Some tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completed
Physical Requirements :
Physical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently.
Abilities may include but are not limited to :
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools
Bending at the waist
Kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time
Reaching above the head to store or retrieve materials
Hearing and speaking to exchange information
Seeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gauges
Lifting and carrying heavy equipment or materials
Working in cramped spaces
Use ladders, scaffolding, and / or a scissor lift while performing job duties
