ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER
Starting at : $23 / hour

We are hiring a full time Assistant Program Manager for our Community Services day programs in Lewiston and Augusta.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for supporting Community Services in the Lewiston and Augusta regions. This includes supervision of Team Leaders of assigned programs and other program Team Leaders in the absence of the Program Manager and ensuring compliance with all licensing standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Participate in monthly staff meetings to promote positive communications and team building activities.
Ensure daily operations in the programs are running smoothly.
Provide an additional layer of support on participant hours to ensure participants have enough hours to cover attendance.
Provide added support to Team Leaders to ensure schedules are completed timely and opportunities are available for all attendees.
Participate in Management Meetings as applicable and provide regular feedback at the monthly staff meetings.
Develop ideas and curriculum for the programs to implement into the daily activities in the various regions.
Complete all necessary reports and submit (when applicable) to Business Office in a timely manner. Review for accuracy prior to submittal and verify all information is accurate before receipt by Business Office.
Support with coordination of annual planning documentation and all meetings associated with the annual planning process.
Provide ongoing training for Direct Support Professionals to promote continued professional development.
Fill-in for absent Team Leaders to maintain program continuity.
Transporting clients for social enrichment, doctor’s appointments or as requested.
Oversee daily operations of assigned programs to ensure schedules are completed timely and opportunities are available for all attendees.
Assists Program Director with assigned program budgets. This includes monitoring the budget and making recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure staff are complying with CWS polices.
Review required trainings with staff to assist with monitoring compliance with required training.
Ensure staff members adhere to all health and safety policies including but not limited to fire drills, evacuation plans and emergency procedures.
Outreach to community resources to enhance programs.
In coordination with the marketing department determine ways to increase participation in the program.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL WORK TOLERANCES :
Ability to do standing / sedentary tasks for long periods of time.
Ability to perform range of motion tasks, including but not limited to reaching, bending, stretching, stooping and lifting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (all personnel are trained in correct lifting procedures).
QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Valid US Driver’s License.
Satisfactory driving record per agency’s insurance company standards.
Direct Support experience preferred.
B.A. Degree preferred.
Previous experience managing services / programs.
Direct supervisory experience.
Must have or be willing to obtain the following : DSP, CRMA.
All required trainings must be completed within four months of hiring date.
